Mrs. Chavali Pamela Osathanugrah[U2.1], President of PPSEAWA Thailand, was invited by PPSEAWA International to be one of the speakers at a virtual parallel event during the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69), under the theme “Building Synergies, Accelerating Progress.” Mrs. Chavali presented on the topic “Hygiene Street Food Program in Creating Opportunities for and Empowering Former Women Prisoners,” a collaborative initiative between PPSEAWA Thailand, the Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ), the Catholic Women’s Association of Thailand, and partner organizations. The program equips formerly incarcerated women with life skills and vocational training, along with microloans to help them start small businesses within one year of release.
Additionally, Ms. Nattika Ho, Vice Chair of the Advancing the Status of Women Committee, presented on PPSEAWA Thailand’s Recyclable Waste Bank Project.
